is modified to contain a little less protein by replacing the bone meal with calcium lactate and the physillum powder with squash (you add) and adding extra B- vitamins and kidney glands that are so essential in
renal failure. The kidneys can manage the slightly lower protein intake and yet still
enjoy the benefits of a raw food diet which is so much more healthier for their
bodies. Your holistic veterinarian can also prescribe natural remedies to help
support your cats kidneys along with this diet.

A nutritionally balanced dry ingredient to mix with raw
meat that has ground bones and muscle such as ground whole chicken and Rabbits.
WARNING: Beware of all pre made meats that are made with only chicken necks, backs and frames. This kind of pre made meat will cause an over abundance of calcium in your cat or dogs system leading to kidney and bladder stones! The most ideal Ca:P ratio in the cat's diet is 1.1:1. However, cats can easily tolerate up to 2:1. Any more Calcium in the diet would cause an over saturation in the body, and can result in Calcium deposits in soft tissue such as Oxalate stones. You need to have more muscle meat then bones to have a properly balanced bone to meat ratio in your cat or dogs diet. Ask your pre made meat supplier if they use breast and thigh meat in their product before you purchase it. Most of the pre made meats out there do NOT use enough muscle meats in the tubes of meats they sell. You want them to use the whole chicken or rabbit .
Rabbit meat looses it's taurine when ground or frozen. We add Taurine in all of our supplements.

Many caregivers prefer this recipe over our other formulations, because it's the closest to feeding the real prey. Please note: Feeding large amounts of fresh bones, as in this formulation, can cause constipation in some cats. Therefore, this recipe might not be suitable for all cats.
