By Kim Bloomer:
I make a protection spray using 20 drops of each of the following oils:
Purification Peppermint (warm climates only or summertime only for cold climates) and Orange and I mix them with 10 oz of distilled water, shake and spray the pet down every time it goes outside. If it stays outside, then I suggest using Purification along the spine and on the ears 2 – 3 times a day in addition to the spray. For fleas and mites (especially ear mites), I use Purification oil. I always have a bottle of diluted Purification close by. I mix 1/4 bottle of Purification and fill it with V6 oil (15 ml bottle). I tip the ears with it and it helped get rid of ear infections as well. I do a great many rescues and each one of them gets Lavender oil and Purification oil applied to their ears right from the start. The Lavender oil I then apply to all my cats so they won’t fight because they all smell the same.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion. Jean Valnet, M.D., studied peppermint’s effect on the liver and respiratory systems. Other scientists have also researched peppermint’s role in affecting impaired taste and smell when inhaled. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati studied peppermint’s ability to improve concentration and mental accuracy. Alan Hirsch, M.D., studied peppermint’s ability to directly affect the brain’s satiety center, which triggers a sense of fullness after meals. This plant is grown and distilled at the Young Living Farms.Product #3614
